Head vs. Heart

Came across the saying above on Tumblr (which I have turned into my own amateur typography, MIND YOU -- so don't blame me for not crediting it) and felt that this is the ABSOLUTE hard, cold and brutal truth, which unfortunately for me.. literally yet sorely, defines my life.
and lots of other people's lives too. i'm sure.
Every single freaking day is a battle between what I know, and what I feel. a battle between my head and heart, spirit and flesh.
Like how I know eating deep fried and other fattening stuff or eating mindlessly will make me balloon sideways (or whichever way fats like to go) at a frighteningly rapid pace, but I still eat it or eat mindlessly anyway cause well.. i feel like it.
Like how I know I am supposed to study for my midterm this Thursday but I am procrastinating and writing this very thing you're reading right now... because well.. I feel like writing and I certainly do not feel like studying... (although it is making me feel stricken with intense guilt. CAN I JUST BEAT MYSELF UP)
Like how I know I shouldn't get angry and be rude to my parents (or ANYONE for that matter), but I still get angry and be rude.. cause well.. I feel SO angry that I just HAVE to get back at em! Bad, really bad...
Like how I know I shouldn't be falling for this certain guy who seems to be of inappropriate criteria i.e somebody I can't really have.
But I still fall for this person anyway...
Cause that's just what I feel. No matter WHAT I tell my head to think. No matter WHAT I know.
Sometimes I just wish there was a button which you could use to either switch your brain or feelings off. Then maybe things would be a lil less complicated...
